Thank you so much The Great guys at – DVD Storage Rack

Multimedia player and library manager Songbird has updated its Windows version to include two major new features: support for external devices and the ability to rip CD’s into a music library. The addition of media device means Songbird users can now sync their music library (including songs and playlists) with their iPod.

Songbird is an open-source music application that serves as an alternative to other music apps like WinAmp and iTunes. The program features optional add-ons that bring new functionality and help keep it less-bloated than iTunes. For iPod owners displeased by the iTunes software, the app could serve as a lighter solution. Other device owners – say Windows Mobile or Android phone owners (or Palm Pre owners sick of being blocked out by iTunes) – can also take advantage of the Mass Storage Class add-on.

The addition of CD ripping now puts Songbird in a better position to compete with other media apps like DoubleTwist. Songbird also features downloadable skins (“feathers”), a large gallery of add-ons, and integration with web services like Last.fm and SHOUTcast. It is available for free at GetSongBird.com

Controlling temperature and keeping away air
pressure are all important details in the field of storing goods. They are instrumental not only in preserving
food, but also in keeping furniture, fabrics, and other materials in good
condition. To achieve such, you need
containers or facilities that manipulate the ever-changing climate into your
favor – climate controlled storage.
Climate controlled storage can be as simple as a small package, as large
as a rigged storage facility, or both, depending on the needs of the products.

What is Climate
Controlled Storage?

Climate control storage is a general term for
storage that protects goods from the effects of climate change, moisture, and
weather conditions. Small items like
food products and electronics are protected by blister and clamshell
packaging. These packages are sealed
completely, keeping air and moisture away from the product. Milk, wine, and other food products should be
stored at controlled temperatures, so manufacturers transport them from one
location to another using trucks equipped with heating and cooling tanks. Products that require long term storage, like
furniture and artworks, are placed in a climate controlled self storage.

Climate
Controlled Storage Units

Some safehouses are climate control storage units.
They are equipped with mechanisms that manipulate and maintain the temperature
inside the facility, thus keeping food preserved and other products safe from
the harmful effects of moisture. By
operating the climate control storage, you can set the temperature, and
sometimes pressure, at a constant while the products are inside. A lot of companies have at least a climate
controlled mini storage as a means of stocking their newly-made and
previously-unsold products.

Airtight
Packaging

Packages with airtight covers are the simplest forms
of climate controlled storage. They may
not manipulate the temperature, but they certainly keep contaminants, such as
moisture and bacteria, away from the products.
Not only that, they also protect the goods from hard physical
contact. The plastic covering, bed, and
cardboard base are durable enough to absorb much punishment, especially during
deliveries. Examples of airtight
packaging are:

·
Bins with airtight covers

·
Clamshell packaging

·
Blister packaging

·
Cans

·
Bottles

·
Cartons

Aside from the primary package, the goods are placed
in larger secondary containers upon delivery to a self storage facility. The secondary containers are very sturdy. They also have multiple compartments, fitting
a group of items, all at once. These
containers make storage quick and easy.

Climate
Controlled Storage Boxes

Regular storage boxes are used for storing and
sometimes hauling stuff from one place to another. Climate controlled ones come in the form of
plastic storage bins with tight lids.
These containers prevent or at least minimize the effects of climate
change. They also reduce the effects of
unnecessary wear and tear, since the items are held steady. By storing the
items shut, you are assured that your assets will last for quite a long
time.

Climate Control
for CDs and DVDs

CDs and DVDs warp over time, and the reason for this
is constant exposure to dust, physical contact, extreme temperatures, and
moisture, which eats away their audible surface. Extend the useful lives of your discs by
storing them inside their cases after use; otherwise they will soon develop
scratches, reducing the sound and video quality. To add further protection, store them inside
covered CD bins. These containers keep
away dust and moisture, much to the delight of every music and movie
lover.

Storage Lockers
and Storage Drawers

Manufacturers aren’t the only ones who use secondary
storage for their packaged items. As a
resident or as a professional, storage lockers and storage drawers promote
organization, eliminating clutter once you have sorted your items out. These storage devices are made from sturdy
material. They are also a source of
security, since they conceal the items once they are shut. You can install locking systems to further
the protection of your goods.

Climate Control
for Garage Storage Systems

Your home’s tools and industrial equipment may be
the sturdiest items that you can find, but, like all items, they eventually
succumb to the harsh effects of climate change.
If moisture constantly appears on metal instruments, rust will appear
and shorten the duration of their usefulness.
Wooden items warp once moisture, coupled with bacteria, sticks to
them. You can keep them well protected
by keeping them inside a garage storage system.
It is composed of numerous compartments, shelves, and drawers, protected
by a durable frame.

You can install insulation inside the system, so the
temperature is controlled. Also, install
locks on the drawers and the main cabinet doors to keep your equipment safe
from thieves. The garage storage system,
as you can see, is the ultimate form of protection for all the equipment found
outside your house. You can even store
furniture and unused amenities inside.

The No Climate
Zone

The climate is a formidable foe for nearly every
consumer good. Even the toughest
equipment yields to its damaging effects.
With climate controlled storage, you can keep the climate at bay,
maintaining your assets in good condition for long periods.

Shelving Solutions

Create a Video Like The Above (or Better!) From Your Own Article – In Three Minutes

Spick and span homes make us feel good. Sadly, when they are not, it can cause stress. As if, we should always be doing something about the situation. Being surrounded in clutter makes it difficult to relax and anjoy home life. Seeking organization help could make all the difference in the world. You are spoilt for choice when it comes to selecting racks and shelves for home storage problems. In the garage, storage racks can be bought to accommodate just about everything from tools to bikes.

Shiny chrome wire can be used elsewhere too, such as in the pantry for home food storage. Also, kitchen shelves can help free space on the counter by removing hardly used appliances. The usage of shelves for home organizational needs is only limited by one’s imagination. In small bedroom where a side table is impossible, the use of corner shelving can offer a place for an alarm clock, or a book. For small items, you could try decorated boxes as an alternative to open shelves, thus freeing some shelf space.

In the living room, den or bedroom you can place a CD or DVD storage rack to provide an easy solution for eliminating those messy heaps. Placing one by the computer can also come in handy. There is just no limit for the uses of shelves for home beautification. Wood or wire shelving are useful for organizing closets, somewhere out of sight for storage. Regrettably, you may need more help outside in the the garage and yard shed, than inside.

On the outside of the home in the garden shed and garage, we also tend to let things get piled up. Garden tool organizers can do a great job for these areas. Have you thought of using a metal locker to keep poisonous substances, like chemicals and pesticides, out of the reach of children. When you are putting up shelves for home use, be sure that they are mounted securely to the wall. Additionally, make sure they are right for the amount of weight they will take. Shelving can be a hazard if not installed correctly, so always put safety first. Whatever you might use, make sure it is correct for that task.

When your garage shelving is as you want it, then why not get on with other shelving solutions?

Thank you Glenn. Im from Atlanta myself. and have decided based on your advice to build my own traps very similar to that design though the angles at the front intersection area of the room will probably be a lil different but I had to have something to work with in sketchup.

Im undecided about the treatment type sizing at this point for the early reflection points mainly due to space constraints.

1. Can i get away with a foam treatment at those points better than the corner bass traps.

2. on deciding the exact fill Im thinking either having the traps be 4 or 6 inch thick. in one of the following configurations
A. 2' wide, length according to application and two 2" layers of 703 or 705
B. " " two 1" layers of 703 sandwiching one 2" layer of 705
C. " " three 2" layers of 703/705/703
D." " or two 1" or 2" layers of 703/705 sandwiching mineral wool.

all wood frames with side holes drilled and textile covering material though am curious the differences between a suede type versus a weave type.

also am not sure of suppliers at this point. have been advised of going to an Owens Corning supplier off of PIB though I havent contacted as of yet.

Also need a primer in acoustic measurement in regards to equipment needed methods and adjustments once measurements are taken. this project will/should be finished with the construction phase by April.

Was curious as to your thoughts on using the equipment rack in the corners central within the Bass traps. and actually the design is based off of my idea that those could be portable to new locations as I may move and the panels could be adjustable to the varrying room problems/angles.

Thanks so much for your help. also the small door in that room is a closet which I plan to turn into a cabinet isolation room its large enough for two 4×12 cabs side by side. what should i do to completely deaden that room. 4" foam with complete coverage?.

Also in building the corner traps should I create the frames with an angle in a way that they mount leaving a flush fit or with a standard box that when mounted in the corner leaves the frame 45* from the surface. I think the lines are better with the flush however my equipment for fab isnt really going to let me do this without another expense for a compound miter saw. not that Im apposed just didnt budget for it and it would push the time frame further out. Yes I do plan on doing it correctly but at this point I want to see if the effort is justified with the end result in more than just aesthetics. If not i can later build better corner traps that are more eye appealing and use these for early reflection points or other areas as my studio concept grows in size.

Anyways thanks again for your help and I will be in touch with you to get a quote on material once i have it down to a complete list.

DVD Cabinets Blog notes that anyone should read

This is a shout out to DVD Storage Rack

There are not many private companies that get to work hand-in-hand with law enforcement. The Motion Picture Association of America, or MPAA, is one of those companies. I have been trained and certified an expert by the MPAA in the recognition and recovery of pirated DVD's (my wife also happened to be in the DVD industry for fifteen years). According to MPAA.ORG: Working with law enforcement around the world, the MPAA seized over 81 million illegal optical discs in 2005, and According to a study conducted by LEK Consulting LLC, MPAA companies lost approximately $3.8 billion worldwide to physical piracy in 2005. These are huge numbers! I know that our department, along with other units popping up around the country, are tackling the problem head-on.

Here is how you can identify a pirated DVD. First, if you just happen to be shopping downtown and you see a nice man selling DVD's on the street corner; DVD's that haven't come out in Blockbuster yet, or movies that just got into the theatre, congratulations, you're about to purchase a pirated DVD. I have held master copies of DVD's before through my wife's affiliation with the industry. There are not many masters, but if one gets into the wrong hands, they can be reproduced at alarming rates. They are also one of the only ways that you will get a decent pirated DVD. But at what cost??? You might pay $5 for it on the corner, but image that the costs will come from somewhere else; movie ticket prices (OK, those are already high), DVD sales, or the food at the concession stands, etc.

Another easy way is to look at the case. The cellophane packaging should be tight and neatly wrapped. Most pirated DVD's will look like your third grader put the packaging on. The front cover should have crisp lettering and pictures. Usually, the picture on the cover will be similar to the front of the DVD itself. On the back of the DVD cases, a small picture of the world will appear, the initials NTSC (National Television System Committee) below the world. There should be a number 1 in the center of the world. If the number 2 or ALL appear, this is a pirated DVD. Number 1 is the only DVD used in North America.

On the DVD itself. If the back of the DVD is blue or any other color besides clear, it is a pirated DVD. If it is any other color, it is a DVD-R (re-writeable). In the center of the DVD, by the opening, you will see various numbers (Stamper Numbers). These numbers are to identify the origin of the DVD. On a pirated DVD, these numbers are usually erased (it is visible to the naked eye).

If you watch the video and it seems like you're in the movie theatre, and then you see somebody's head blocking your view, and then you hear somebody coughing, your DVD is pirated. Also, the quality of the DVD is poor and grainy (this is from the original copy that they are working with is deteriorating).

My wife and I purchased a DVD from a reputable source (we have purchased hundreds of items in the past from this on-line source). This was a DVD that is not currently being produced by the company. We also paid about five times what you would expect to pay since it is out of circulation. When we got the DVD, we immediately recognized it as pirated. All of the above factors were involved, and blatantly. We immediately dealt with the Internet Company who refunded the money and we sent the item to the MPAA for review and a possible investigation. The person who actually sold the item to the Internet company became angry with us for identifying the pirated DVD.

The laws in California are progressive and include steep prison sentences as well as substantial restitution out of your pockets. There are also private investigation agencies working for the MPAA who will go after DVD's, and other pirated merchandise as well. They conduct very thorough investigations (I will, of course, not go into how they conduct their investigations), but they not only come out with arrests, but convictions.

According to www.allbusiness.com, in 2006, Rhode Island Stated Police, in conjunction with the FBI and ICE, raided two locations where the manufacturing and distribution of DVD's were taking place. Over 3,000 pirated DVD's were seized, as well as computer and other equipment used to illegally duplicate the DVD's. Two persons were arrested as well.

In another article by www.zeropaid.com, the MPAA, working with the Malaysian Government, arrested 9 persons and recovered over 30,000 pirated DVD's.

Pirated DVD's have some roots in organized crime and even street gangs. There was some turf wars with Los Angeles street gangs over the locations where they would sell their pirated DVD's. This is an international problem, and like any other illegal area, if you buy them, they will continue to make them. The moral to the story is: Don't buy or sell pirated DVD's, or any other pirated merchandise.

DVD Storage Blog post that you should see

A big thanks to The Awesome people at DVD Storage Rack

Program note(I’ve always wanted to say that!):

We’re changing things up a bit starting this week.  We’re starting a new posting schedule, and I think you’ll like it. The schedule will go like this: Motivation Monday, True Confessions Tuesday, Weigh-in Wednesday, Thursday’s 3’s, Fitness, Friday, The Saturday Review, and Recipe Sunday.

So, see?  We’ve added some here, switched others to there, kept some the same.  This is the last few days of 2009, the last few days of this decade…are you excited?!  I know we are!!

So, with that, I give you Motivation Monday…

***

A part of me will always be that 206 pound girl.  It’s something that never really has left me.  Even though, I now have regained control of my health, there’s a small part of me that will always be the girl that I was a bit over 2 years ago.  Some people say that we should forget the past, throw who we were away, but I disagree.  I want to hold on to her.  Keep her tucked away in the back of my mind.  I never want to forget who I was because if I were to do that, I would forget how far I’ve come.  I would forget that I overcame so many obstacles to get to this point, and most importantly I would forget that I CAN do anything.

There is no way to express to you how much I dislike the word “can’t”.  Especially when working out and trying to get healthy.  It really kind of makes me want to stick a fork in my eye.  You add the phrase, “I just don’t think I’m ready for that yet,” and I’m ready to take that fork, stick it in my brain and twist.

Now obviously there are some things that I “can’t” do.  I’m 5ft3in tall, dunking a basketball is never going to happen.  I can’t wiggle my ears now matter how hard I try.  And I’m pretty sure that it’s just not in my cards to ever win the U.S. Open. (tennis, not golf.)  Also, if my doctor says I can’t do it, I listen.

I understand that there are things that your doctors tell you that’ you’re not allowed to do, and in those cases, please listen to your doctors.  I also know there are things that you may be physically incapable of doing, BUT if you’re just saying you “can’t” or that “you’re not ready for that yet” because it looks hard or scary, please explain to me why you’re holding yourself back.  (And I want no excuses.)

Look,  I know this journey is hard.  I’m still on it.  I’ve been where you are.  I used to say that there’s no way I can run. But what I was really saying was “I don’t want to run.”  I used to look at a work out DVD and say, there’s no way I can do THAT!  It looks hard!  But what I was really saying was, “I’m afraid to give a  shot because what if I *gasp* fail?”

The thing I learned was, it wasn’t that I couldn’t do those things.  It was that I was out of shape.  I was overweight.  I was unhealthy.  So, could I run 3 miles on Day 1?  No.  But I COULD run for maybe 30 seconds.  Then the day after that I could challenge myself to double that.  OR, if you’re the work out DVD type, could I do the whole routine without stopping the first day?  Nope.  I took lots of breaks at first, and as I got into shape, I built the endurance to do a whole work out.

Now, if someone says, “Hey, you want to run a 5K this weekend?”  I say, “Let’s do it!”  (Okay fine, I may grumble a little at the 5K because I still am working on the liking to run thing, but I’ll run the 5K.)  Or if I see a new hard work out DVD program on the market, I’ll do anything to try to get my hands on it.  I know now that I can do just about anything that isn’t physically impossible for me to.  If I fail, I fail.  I’ll pick myself up and try again.

So, if  *I* can go from being THAT person who said she couldn’t, to the person that says, “Bring it on!”, why can’t you?  You CAN.  If I can lose 60 lbs, then why can’t you?  You CAN.  If I can run a 5K and challenge myself to run a half marathon, then why can’t you?  You CAN.

If you’re holding yourself back, and limiting yourself to just the things you think you can do, then you’re closing the door to a world of opportunities, and why in the world would you want to do that?  Don’t.

We have a new challenge starting here this week, and if you’re one of those people who says, “I can’t” then I challenge you right now to stop holding yourself back, join us, and say “I CAN”.  Because you can.

  • CPU/GPU – PowerPC CPU (code-named “Broadway”), made with a 90nm SOI CMOS process, jointly developed with and manufactured by IBM; GPU developed with ATI.
  • Media – A single self-loading media bay plays single- or double-layered 12-cm optical discs for the Wii console, as well as 8-cm Nintendo GameCube discs.
  • Input/Output – Input: four Wii Remote controllers can communicate with Wii, which features a bay for an SD memory card. Output: an AV Multi-output port for component, composite or S-video.
  • WiiConnect24 – The Wii console can communicate with the Internet even when the power is turned off. The WiiConnect24 service delivers a new surprise or game update, even if the system is idle. Users can connect wirelessly using IEEE 802.11 or a USB 2.0 LAN adaptor.
  • Wii Remote – To make gaming as accessible to people of all ages and all abilities, Nintendo wanted to create a controller that was as inviting as it was sophisticated. The outcome is the Wii Remote controller. Nintendo fused the familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology to come up with an input device for the ages! Sporting the size of a traditional remote control, the wireless Wii Remote controller is a multifunctional device that is limited only by the game designer’s imagination. In a tennis game, it serves as your racket you swing with your arm. In a driving game, it serves as your steering wheel. For first-person shooters, the remote acts as your weapon that you point at an enemy. The list of potential uses goes on and on. Using Bluetooth technology, the wireless Wii Remote controller sends your actions to the Wii console from as far as 30 feet away. As a pointing device, the controller can send a signal from as far as 15 feet away. Up to four Wii Remote Controllers can be connected at once, making for some great multiplayer fun! In addition to its pointing and motion-sensing abilities, the Wii Remote controller also includes a speaker, rumble feature and expansion port for additional input devices, such as the Nunchuk controller.
  • Nunchuk controller – Contoured to perfectly fit a player’s hand, the Nunchuk controller builds on the simplicity of the Wii Remote controller and goes an extra step to meet the needs of gamers. The Nunchuk controller connects to the Wii Remote controller at its expansion port and is used in conjunction with the Wii Remote controller. The Nunchuk controller contains the same motion-sensing technology enabled in the Wii Remote controller but also includes an analog stick to assist in character movement. In several games, players will use the analog stick of the Nunchuk controller to move their characters and the Wii Remote controller to perform a specific action, whether that’s throwing a pass in football or aiming a ranged weapon in an action game. Along with the analog stick, the motion-sensing Nunchuk controller also contains two buttons positioned for quick access. Because the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers are only relatively dependent on each other, players are free to hold them in whichever hand is most comfortable. The ambidextrous nature of the Wii controllers grants accessibility seldom seen in game controllers.

Thank you so much DVD Storage Rack

Better late than never?

Like a Phoenix from the flames, Toshiba has at last put pride where it belongs and jumped on the Blu-ray bandwagon and we’re glad it did.

The loser in the Blu-ray vs. HD-DVD format war a few years ago, it’s taken the Japanese giant almost 2 years to lick its wounds and make a return to the high-def market. While hardly the most impressive or feature-packed deck around, as a culmination of a few years’ hard work, the BDX2000 is a reasonably impressive effort.

It’s also fair value considering its great Blu-ray performance. Not surprisingly for a brand with war coffers to replenish, Toshiba has gone straight for the volume market by slapping a sub-?200 price tag on the BDX2000. There are cheaper machines out there that do broadly the same thing, but this gloss black deck is worth auditioning.

That’s not to say that the BDX2000 is not a basic effort, though it’s as slim as any Blu-ray player we’ve seen with a depth of just 23cm and a mere 5cm height.

Its features don’t make for lengthy reading. As well as Blu-ray and DVD, its disc drive plays DivX, JPEG, MP3, and WMA files (the latter sound great). If you insert an SD card into the machine’s front slot that contains any kind of digital media files, the BDX2000 asks you if you want to access it, but works in exactly the same way as a CD or DVD.

Connecting to BD Live very easy (though slow) via an Ethernet cable; the BDX2000 downloads content only if you have a 1GB SD or SDHC card in place. It’s a shame there isn’t any capacity in the machine already; a Blu-ray player with built-in storage of 8GB or so will do very well – it’s an opportunity missed by Toshiba, but perhaps at this price we shouldn’t be surprised at the BDX2000’s conservative nature.

Budget kit often comes with a cheap, rudimentary remote and the BDX2000 is no different. At least the drab, boxy remote is simple to use, with large enough buttons including, usefully, one that ejects the disc tray.

DVD Cabinets journal post that anyone should see

This is a shout out to The Great guys at – DVD Storage Rack

Technology can be a wondrous thing, expanding in terms of power and affordability at breakneck speed. Sure, this means that the computer you bought 5 years ago is probably about as useful as a Betamax player. It also means that a system with 4 times the power will cost you half as much as your last computer. This same principle applies to the USB flash drive, a relatively new invention that was first sold in 2001 as a humble 8Mb storage device. Their memory capacity continues to rise while their prices keep dropping. Today a 64 Gigabyte flash drive is not unheard of, and smaller drives can be bought for less than what a stack of blank CD's might cost.

Flash drives have yet to be given a universally accepted name. I personally enjoy a bit of sophomoric humor when I hear them referred to as “dongles”. The list of synonyms for this bit of technology is rather lengthy, so I'm just going to list notable few: memory key, data stick , data key, flash drive, flash disk, thumb drive, USB drive, and jump drive. Some of the more absurd names include nerd bling and geek whistle, the latter referring to one that is worn around the neck, in the same manner as a coach's whistle.

Unlike other forms of media,  the flash drive's appearance is as varied as the day is long. For example, they have taken the form of wristwatches, teddy bears, refrigerator magnets, and pens.  It is possible that no form of data storage has been as diverse in it's appearance up to this point.

Flash drives are simultaneously less bulky and more durable than older forms of data storage, but they have their weaknesses. They are impervious to dust, oil and scratches. Some of these drives can even survive a swim with the laundry! The downside is that they have a limited lifespan. An average flash drive will usually have a lifespan of several hundred thousand data transfers, and when they start to get old, data transfer rates become slower. Flash drives are typically faster than CD's, and they can be re-written 500 times more than CD/RW's on average. While USB flash drives are most commonly used for simple data transfer, this is just the tip of the iceberg as far as uses for them are concerned.

Some software companies are including flash drives with their products as an anti-piracy measure. These USB drives contain special data that must be used in conjunction with their software product in order for it to launch. This is usually only done in the case of very expensive applications, and it makes their product  more difficult to use without purchasing it legitimately.

Computer manufacturers have begun to use flash drives as security keys, controlling access to the operating system by communicating with security software on the PC. This design prevents the target machine from operating unless a “security key” flash drive is plugged into it. Sometimes these “PC lock” drives will function like normal flash drives when they are plugged into other computers.

With the advent of Web 2.0 sites, there's an aspect of independence from our computers, but with that independence, there's a price to pay. When you rely on websites to provide your storage and processing, you are counting on those sites to remain functional, to safely store your data, and to maintain their current terms of use.

Flash drives present a welcome alternative for computer users who are not entirely convinced of the reliability, privacy, and security of Web-based storage and software. The alternative comes in the form of  “smart” flash drives that carry software or operating systems. Entire software applications can be run directly from flash drives, eliminating the need to install an application onto the computer itself. A surprisingly large number of applications can be run directly from a flash drive, including web browsers, antivirus software and 3D modeling utilities.  In fact, you can store an entire operating system on one of these gadgets, and boot your computer from it!

Some USB drives have security features for those of us who feel the need to protect their data. One method prevents unauthorized people from accessing data by means of encryption. The downside is that the drives are only usable on the few computers that have the same encryption software, and there currently isn't a widely accepted portable standard. Some newer USB drives support biometric fingerprinting, meaning that only authorized users can access the data that lies within.

With the pros far outweighing the cons, and prices that are plummeting, it's no wonder that consumers and businesses spend more than $2 billion annually on USB flash drives worldwide, and sales are expected to increase at a rate of 15 percent per year for several years to come.

iWallet is certainly a wallet for those who love to leave their wallet on the table (forgot to take it away). The iWallet will scream like a lost child when you move from it 15-30 feet away. Reckless habit, everyone has it in some way. iWallet will help you prevent unwanted experiences, and to prevent your wallet to be crawled like no tomorrow by those who got your wallet, by sealing it away with your fingerprint.

iWallet is really a hi-tech carbon fiber wallet for advanced protection. It is not only equipped with a biometric reader to read your fingerprint, it also has a bluetooth technology to bind with your cell phone, so whenever you move away as far as 15 to 30 feet away from your iWallet, it will set the alarm off, and you will notice you’ve lost it.

Of course, you must make sure your cell phone is still with you. If you lost both then be prepared to lose everything you have in your wallet because some can use a big hammer to smash open the wallet.

There are two types of material available for iWallet. The Fiber Glass version will cost you $299 while the Carbon Fiber will cost $599.99 a pop. You can also add some extra engraving if you are willing to add another $99.95.

DVD Storage Rack
One of my New Years resolutions this year is to get organized. I plan on starting over in my office in the next month or so when we move into our new house. So I think now is a great time to discuss some needed things to do to get and stay organized. No matter the 'business' you do, these tips should apply to you.

Filing
Even with the electronics we have, having a paper filing system is still needed. Depending on your space and amount of files, you can use a small file folder on up to a file cabinet. They have many types of file folders available, my favorites are the kind with a built in media holder, as you can put in all paperwork as well as the associated CD/DVD with the electronic backups. You can sort using colors, dates, names, etc.

Calendar
Having a dry-erase board near your desk can be a life saver, as well as a actual paper calendar for more memorable events and record keeping. I like using the dry erase board as it lets me quickly jot something down and not worry about wasting space. I also use a calendar online and synchronize them at least two times a week.

Supplies
You need to have a spot for extra supplies and tools. These do not have to be right next to your desk, they can be kept in a closet, shelf or rubbermaid across the room or even across the house is space requires, but always try to have extras of any consumables(pens, paper, ink, etc) well before they run out. If you don't have them on hand, Murphy's law will make them run out when you most need them and cant run to the store!

Letter Tray
I have a tow tiered try next to my desk, I use this for immediate sorting of mail and printed papers that I don't get to putting away or dealing with. The method I use is the things that need an 'action' (reply, pay, phone call, enter into computer, etc) will go into the top tray and the items that are done and ready to be put into the file system are in the bottom level. Try to spend a little time every day, or at least once a week to file the things in the bottom and complete the top, I have learned from experience these can fill up quickly if left alone!

Trash Can
The one thing my office space is missing right now is a trash can, this will help reduce clutter quickly, as sometimes when you are in the middle of doing something you just don't have time to get up and take the papers/can/etc to the trash, and it can add up quickly. How we overlooked this when setting up is beyond me but I am fixing this ASAP!

Egg timer
You may be thinking, what on earth do I need this for?! But in reality, when working from home, a timer is so valuable! As you may have already learned, when working from home, time can get away from you very quickly. I use my timer to allot for surfing, posting, or checking email. These things can sometimes take up much more of your time than expected, by getting sidetracked. I have wasted away hours of precious time by checking an email, following a link, then another and end up not even checking email or even being slightly productive. If you set the timer, when that timer goes off, you can quickly analyze what your doing and determine if you are wating time or need to hit the 'snooze'.

Well, those are some of the most important things I can think of right now, of course there are many more things you may need to set up an office, like a desk, computer, chair, etc. But these are some of the little things we may overlook. Feel free to comment with your own tips or items.
